I love spending long nights out in the city. Dining, Dancing, and Drinks. That is what it is all about. My favorite weekends are when I can turn off my work phone and just spend the whole time enjoying the company of my friends. These weekends are few and far between so when I get the opportunity to have them, I do my best to make sure that they are great. The last few trips have gone really well because I planned it out as best I could before I left. These were trips to New York City, because three of my friends moved there last summer. It has been really great to be able to drive down and meet them.
Because we are all new to the City, we did all we could to find hidden gems that we all knew we would love. To do my part I combed through all the NYC club reviews to find some places for us to go late night. We knew that the area around NYU would likely be popular but I didn’t want to just jump in and hope that it was a place that fit our tastes. We were lucky enough to find some nice places out in Brooklyn that I didn’t expect to find. It was really helpful to see what other people were doing around the city before we headed out ourselves.
My friend’s job was to find us a place to eat. He read through tons of NYC restaurant reviews to find a great Thai place that had some of the best noodles ever. What we have learned from these latest outings is that you can save a lot of time by learning from other people’s mistakes. Instead of going out and blindly trying a new restaurant we can read about other people’s experiences to know if we will have a good time. Having fun is better when it is easy! Do the work before hand so that you don’t have to worry about anything while you are trying to enjoy yourself.
