In general dentistry, the dentist treats patients of all ages and is generally responsible for the patient’s complete oral health. Their practice covers many roles and responsibilities and they provide a wide range of dental services. General dental practitioners are required to earn a dental degree and graduate with either a D.D.S. or a D.M.D., which come after completing an undergraduate program and passing the Dental Acceptance Test (DAT). They may also receive a higher salary when compared to the general dentist. Despite the differences in salary different kinds of dentist can make, the median wage of the general dentist is still pretty high. Their wage in 2011 was $146,920 per year, and it is still among the highest in the healthcare industry.

Before, the jobs for psychologists are only limited to performing psychotherapy or in teaching. Choosing an area of specialty can be difficult, which is why it is highly recommended that aspiring psychologists should choose the one that would suit their interests and abilities best. Psychology jobs may require the aspirant to obtain either a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or a doctoral degree in psychology. The license will depend on the area of specialty and the state where the aspirant wants to practice. There will also be differences on the psychologist salary and the duties that the psychologists perform in their chosen area of specialty.
